Okay, so I looked thru a few pages and with no luck I figured I would post I need to make a Black Forest Cake on thursday and have no idea how to do it!!! I need a recipe please....an idea of how to construct...how do you make the cherry filling....ahhhh i need help!!! 
ditto what Tclanton says...I buy the cherry pie filling from the store and just bake chocolate fudge cakes using Betty Crocker mixes.I drizzle chocolate fudge over the filling.Ice the outside with a whipped bakery icing and whipped cream ontop and shave chocolate over top and marachino cherries with the stems on....Not the true Black forest but pretty darn good!!
Ditto on the buying cherry filling, sooooo good! Ideally add some kirsh liquer for authenticity but the filling is so good by itself it doesn't matter if you don't.
