Does an agbay have much of a learning curve? I want one so bad!!!
Nope! I used it perfectly the first time. You do want to watch the blade though, that bad boy can cause serious damage if you are not careful!
thanks! I have two small children so I know I'll be hiding it up on a HIGH shelf!
Definitely -- you don't want the Agbay anywhere a child can get near it. It's a great labor-saving device, but it's definitely not kid-friendly!
I just got mine for Christmas, and except for not being able to find the blade (lol) it was easy.....I am a clutz, so I have been being REALLY careful, cause th eblade is extremely sharp!
The first cake I baked and wanted to use it to level, the cake came out completely level hahaha...so I split it in half hehe
I loooove mine, but it's true that it's sharp as a b@#. I've brushed my hand on it a couple of times and it gives you the sharpest cuts you'll ever hope to get. I don't complain, though, because it's so awesome.
Also great to use to make sure the icing is level on top of the cake! ![]()

What a wonderful idea!!!!! ![]()
LOVE the idea of leveling icing with it. Does it stick to the blade and pull off the cake? Does it matter if it is a crusting icing or not? Do you wait a certain amount of time before leveling??
Thanks!!
