Curious - About Pudding In The Cake Mix

I've been browsing around CC for some time now, and I saw a few posts about adding pudding in box cake which makes the cake more dense - which will reduce crumbs.
Lately I've been using BC cake mixes, but this weekend I decided to purchase a Pillsbury cake mix. The box already says "pudding in the mix" so my questions is....do I still need to add a packet of pudding???
Even if the mix already has it, I still add a box. It won't hurt. I don't know about pudding making it more dense, I know it adds flavor and moistness. For a denser cake I add an extra egg. HTH!
I too add a extra packet of pudding it make my cakes moist I also use yogurt in the mix.
