Adding Coloured Candy Pellets To Mmf?

I was reading the MMF recipe and noticed at the very bottom that you can add 2oz of white vanilla candy melts to the MMF too...

...has anyone used the coloured pellets instead of tinting with food colourings? Does it work well? Is the colour nice and even?

Sorry, I have never heard of this. I would guess that it wouldn't be bright bold colors since it takes so much paste colors to color it. I guess it could work though if youwanted light or pastel colors.
