I made a cake for New Year's Eve for someone else. I kept the colors basic - frosted white and two shades of gray, one lighter and one darker, in buttercream.
I was using the pearl dust on the darker gray stars to add some shine. Instead of it remaining the shiny whiter color, it changed to a turquoise color. Almost like the patina effect on metals.
I was just wondering if this has happened to anyone else with colors changing like that.
