Forgot To Put Hole In Cardboard For Sps

Hey all,
Exactly what my subject says, my cakes are iced and covered in fondant and i forgot to put a hole in the bottom of the cardboard for the SPS system.....
Am I totally screwed? I'm not sure what to do, can I try to add the hole now? Has this happened to anyone else??
Help! The cake is due tomorrow! 
I ended up fixing it so if anyone has this problem in the future , I just set the cake ontop of the separator plate so it made a dent in the cardboard and then I quickly flipped the cake upside down and used the end of a pairing knife to enlarge the hole.
