I am making a ball cake and i read somewhere that it will need a dowel through it, attached to the board, has any one got any tips on how to do this ??

tell us more about your cake. what size is it? are u torting it? will it be transported?

Hi Steffie , only just saw your post, there will be 3 balls in toatal, each different in size, the large one will be the wilton soccerball pan,i will use buttercream(hm) to join the halves together, the others will be be made with the wilton 3d sports ball. yes it needs to be transported a great distance.
