Cream Cheese Icing Recipe

I'm looking for a cream cheese icing recipe that's not real sweet. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance. Headed to the store now but will be checking.

1 lb cream cheese
2 sticks butter, i use salted it cuts the sweetnes
1 tsp vanilla
4 Cups of powdered sugar

I just made some for my carrot cake.


16 oz. cream cheese
2 sticks of unsalted butter
3-4 tsp. vanilla
2 (16 oz. boxes of powder sugar

after creaming all the above . i add 2 cups chopped (toasted) p-cans. Not putting crisco with this recipe or the one before me, makes the true cream cheese icing. hth
