So I want to make a globe for a snow globe cake. I read that I should use 1 part gelatin to 2 parts water. If I want to make my globe to fit at least a 6" cake, how much gelatin will I need? And is there a way to buy it in bulk, or at least in bigger packages than the Knox gelatin boxes?

I know that I get my know gelatin in the bulk at the bulk food store in our area. A lot less expensive.
