Hi guys!
Here in Aust I have never ever heard of a funfetti cake... a while back i found out about them on Cake central and so now i'm wondering if anyone has a recipe?
It is my understanding that you can get them as a box mix but due to time constraints i cannot order one online so I was thinking maybe i could just add sprinkles to a vanilla cake mix?? or is it something different than that??

thank you

Hi,

Jimmies are the long, cylindrical shaped sprinkles. They come in all different colors, most commonly rainbow and chocolate. I just bought some in Christmas colors this morning to use in my wedding cake. Here's a link to a pic:

I use about two and a half tablespoons for one recipe.

I use 1/4 cup to a 9 inch layer cake (2 layers), but we like a lot of jimmies.

Yeah, I actually dumped in a ton more when I was making my 14" layer. I love sprinkles!
