hi all im just wondering how i can make a crusting butter cream without crisco or anything like that i only have butter meringue powder confectioners sugar i need it to put fondant on but also tastes nice to it is for my mum and dads 30th wedding anniversary cake and i need it asap my crisco i ordered didn't arrive and im stressing please help me!! icon_cry.gif

There are many on the internet if you google, but here is one I found. Not sure if it is a "crusting" recipe or not. Maybe others will join in the conversation.

1 cup butter (2 sticks or 1/2 pound), softened
3-4 cups confectioners (powdered) sugar, SIFTED
1/2 teaspoon table salt
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
up to 4 tablespoons milk or heavy cream

Skip the meringue powder. It is not necessary at all. I only use meringue powder when I'm making royal icing. Good luck.
