Has anyone successfully shipped cupcakes through the mail other than in a jar successfully? If so, would you mind sharing how you packed them. I wanted to mail my sister some for her birthday.

Thanks!

I shipped some but I shipped them un-iced and sent the icing in a disposable decorating bag. I saran wrapped them to a cake board very securely and boxed them up along with the icing and they made it fine

Same as rharris524... I put a line on the bag showing where to cut the bag to ice the cupcakes. I am a scratch baker, but I ship enhanced box mixes and icing that does not need to be refrigerated.

i shipped some, i iced them with buttercream and then topped then with a fondant disc to help protect the frosting, and froze them, then shipped them overnight with a cold pack. just pack them really tightly after wrapping them in plastic wrap individually (while frozen) they got there fine, and they were pleased with results, and of course they tasted amazing! lol
