Hi Everyone
Okay so here's my issue, i have an order for a round cake with a pair of high heel shoes displayed on each side of the cake. So its due Friday and out of time to try making them with gumpaste or fondant. So what other options do I have make the high heel shoes? I ordered the 3D chocolate mold but it may not be here in time. I'm open to any ideas on something edible i can make these out of? Also, they are the closed in high heel shoes.

Hmm--I used rice krispie treats for the heel and I used foam core for the sole and then I carved pound cake. And covered it all with fondant.

I mean you could totally make rkt--I whirl mine in the food processor first so I can carve on them. I get it in the general shape I want then let them set up over night and then you can carve away.

I mean you could do the whole shoe in rkt.

Why not try modeling chocolate? I am not sure how it would hold up and what the dry time is if any. Hopefully someone else can chime in as it is something I want to start to work with.
