My husband is asking for a childhood memory - he says his mother used to make him a devil's food cake with marshmallow frosting that he loved. My attempts at marshmallow frosting have been less than spectacular - I could really use some ideas? I've searched the internet and come up with a few, but I'd like to hear your experience with the recipes for taste and consistency before I start making batch after batch of bad practice runs.

I know I'm up against an impossible task - equalling his memories is probably insurmountable - but I want to try.

(BTW, he did not care for the MMF - go figure..)
