Hello To All The Florida Bakers,

Well, the election is over and we have newly elected officals. Now is the time to find your State House Representative and send the letters so we can get the Cottage Food Act onto the agenda this year and hopfully passed next year.

I have already sent my letter to my Representative and also the NEW Attorney General Pam Bondi. Her acceptance speach stated she wanted to help women get into business without all the red tape. Well lets see what she can do. My state rep that I was hoping would win did not and she was already looking into the law. I sent the letter to the my new rep and I'm hoping to hear something.

We have to make our presence known and that means send the letters not just once but every week. Here is the link to the house of representatives. http://www.myfloridahouse.gov/ you can just copy and paste the letters that I send my USPS, email or you can also call your reps. If you need another copy email me at [email protected]

When I sent my letter I also mentioned the petition we have online don't forget to sign it. 'http://www.petitiononline.com/FLcottag/petition.html

We can do this but, it takes everyone to participate the more state representatives we get to help the better.

Thank you for your help.

Barbara

Consider calling, not emailing the press, local newspapers, and ask some of the cake decorating groups on Meetup.com to get involved. Contact the Meet.up.com organizers and ask if you can come out and speak with their members. This is a great way to drum up support and just inform the public.

If you need more ideas let me know.
