Another Serving Sizes Question

So when they say an 8" cake serves 20, does that mean a 2 layer 8" cake? Im pretty sure the answer is yes, but, hey, I could be wrong! Just checkin!

Here's what the Wilton standard says:

(under "Number of Servings", it says how many layers.)
