Is there an easy way to make poppies. I want to put them on a cake for a Remembrance Day ceremony.

I used to teach something called the Fantasy Flower in the old Wilton Legacy courses. If made using a red/orange fondant/gumpaste mix it looks very much like a poppy. You can frill the edges as much or as little as you want.

I've made the centers out of royal icing.
