I have a cake im making. I'm doing it from a box but im wondering if it would be a disaster if I put a tiny bit of strawberry liquor in the cake mix and a bit in the chocolate butter cream? Any ideas? I'm making it in like 10 minutes... lol
Sure..Add away...a little liquid won't hurt any batter or icing....Should taste yummy!!
For sure! I like to add my liquours after the cakes are baked in a simple syrup splash that is brushed or squireted on the baked cake. I use approximately equal parts of sugar, water and liquour. You boil the sugar & water until it's clear. Then carefully add the liquour--could wait until it cools off. Very easy. But I add the liquour to taste maxing out at one equal part.
thanks memphis, I wanna definatly try that next time. And Mayo I put a little in the measuring cup then added the water to the set amount so it wasn't to watery. Thanks guys. I hope it comes out good. Can't wait till I carve my cake so I can sneak a taste. lol ![]()
