I know this is probably not in the right spot but I need a answer fast. How long approximately does it take for royal icing to harden on cookies? Thanks to anyone in advance.

they should be completly hardened within an hour or two, depending upon the humidity.

In my experience.. they are not hard enought to package for at least 10-12 hours, I try to give them 24 hours so there are no chances for dents or damages when I package and stack.. I usually flood and the decorate. If you are just piping on the cookie without flooding then they could be dry enough to package in a couple hours.
