can I hide the seams of gum paste??

I am just about to make my turrets for my first princess castle cake is it possible to hide the seams?? and tips would be greatly appreciated

You could match the color of the gumpaste with royal icing and just pipe it on over the seam with a small round tip and smooth over with finger...

Its hard to make it invisible, but sometimes you can massage in some shortening (Crisco)...the heat in your fingers and the shortening blend the seam. Then you need to kind of smooth the area around and over it to make it uniform.

The reason white cakes are great is because you can fill in any tiny cracks and holes with RI! Tinting it for coloured cakes is a bit more difficult.

I have heard (but haven't tried) you can thin down your coloured fondant to a paste, then apply it like RI over a crack too.
