Fondant Comb And Scissors??

I was just asked tonight to make a fondant comb and pair of scissors from a friend of mine, she didn't want me to do the whole cake because I had a baby not to long ago and am still adjusting to life with 4 children!
Im just not to sure how to make them look realistic and not cartoony....I would like actual spaces between the teeth of the comb and dont want the scissors completely 2 dimensional
Any tips or suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated!!

I made a little scissors for my back to school cake (in my photos). I just made two loops for the handle and cut the blades free hand.

I did a make your own mold - it took 10 minutes, and they came out great!
