how far in advance can I ice a buttercream 2 tier square cake? The cake I am making is a 2 tier cake that will need to be ready by next friday, oct. 22nd. it's a barnyard cake immulating something like this.......

and I am making most everything ahead of time, and was wondering how long could I ice a cake and it still be good, or can I ice it and freeze it and decorate it the day of? Also, what size do you think this cake is made in and what about the barn and silo? I've already made most of the animals.
