Is it possible to make icing that looks truly silver or gold? I'm making a cake for my Mom that looks like her sewing box which has a miniature version of old-fashioned Singer sewing machine on it. It requires lots of intricate detail and I'd love to be able to copy it as EXACT as possible.

I love to know the answer to this question too...
I've done several "silver" and "gold" accents .. I use the luster dust on the fondant - to cover a whole cake (covered in fondant) I have airbrushed the fondant with gold and silver shimmer paint...
Dive Helmet in my pictures was airbrushed
Fire Hydrant Hose was painted luster dust on fondant
