I was watching Ultimate cake off and noticed they gave lots of cake decorating tips. One of the tips that one of the contestants gave was to rub a sheet of fondant with a ball of fondant to give it shine. did anybody see this? has anybody tried this?

I didn't see it, but Michele Barbarino (I think that's her last name) is a well known cake artist in NY area and she uses a ball of fondant to smooth her fondant cakes. So maybe there is something to it.
