I am going to try to make some cookies for my sister-in-laws baby shower. I need to travel 5 hours with them and it's 4 days after we arrive. I am wondering how long fondant decorated sugar cookies will last for and what is the best way to store them. And anyother tips for a newbie would be great

lovedecorating, You shouldn't have any problem storing sugar cookies with fondant until the shower. I use Khalsteads modified NFSC sugar cookie recipe. It never fails! Put them in a storage container and cover each layer with wax paper and it will stay until the shower. Good luck! 
What if you use MMF would that work the same as regular fondant? I'm really worried that they will get soggy or the MMF will get sticky in 4 days storage time.
