Do I Need To Dowel?

I'm putting a pregnant belly cake on a 10" square single layer cake. Should I dowel the 10" It only just occurred to me know that perhaps I should.

Thanks Tammie - I figured I should (and I have icon_smile.gif ) but I thought I'd see what others said since I know I've read that some only dowel if there will be more than 4" of cake etc.

I figured it would be better safe than sorry anyway icon_smile.gif
