When Do I Put The Pattern On The Bc?

I have a wedding cake that I will be using an impression mat with a quilt design. Is it better to do to right away after it crusts? Or chill for a bit then press the nest on?

Wait till it crusts

Right after it crusts. Otherwise, it will look "cracked"

Yes, don't wait too long-just let it set long enough to smooth it, then use the mat.
