Thinking same as bakingpw: lemon curd? Or lemon mousse?
Raspberry mousse, your first idea, is also a complementary flavor if you want to go the other way and not do lemon on lemon.
You could do Lemon curd and then cream it into cream cheese. I did this and ligtend it with whipped cream for a icing one time and it turned out really good. Otherwise you can not usually ever go wrong with just lemon curd from scratch though, I hate canned stuff.
If you want Raspberry though i would go with either a mousse or do a lemon mouse with fresh raspberries or a raspberry glaze and mousse to just really punch the flavor.
Just this week I made this cake from the following recipe and the curd (just like the whole cake) was soooo delicious! I f you don't want it so sweet, try using less sugar as it is quite sweet in the original recipe.

I'm not sure if I understood you 100% but if you want to make a raspberry mousse that wouldn't be like a curd, more like whipped cream mixed with fresh raspberries and if you like some raspberry puree.
If you want to make a raspberry curd I would (haven't tried that though..) switch the lemon juice for a mixture of 75% (seedless!) raspberry puree and 25% water.
then I would probably make a lemon curd and mix it with whipped cream.
