I'm tired of making the same Royal Icing for my cookies. It's the same ole same ole. It's your basic RI. S.P., Water, Mer. Powder, and flavoring.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Try this royal icing recipe - the gum arabic makes it very sturdy so the details like eyes won't fall off. I always flavor it with peach flavoring.
8 cups powdered sugar, sifted 4 Tablespoons meringue powder 1 Tablespoon gum arabic 1/2 teaspoon cream of tarter 2/3 cup water
Alvarezmom--forgot to mention I have used rolled BC for cookies. They tasted pretty good--not as yummy as with all BC, but a different flavor nonetheless!
Is there a recipe for rolled BC? I would like to try this as this is a new thing to me.
