I like the raspberry sleeved pastry filling or raspberry pie filling for chocolate cake.

Can't go wrong with cherry! Tastes like a chocolate covered cherry. If they are not hooked on fruit - mocha/coffee/expresso is always nice.

IMHO anything goes great with chocolate. I love strawberries, even an orange filling is good. I know it's not fruit, but a caramel filling is to die for!

How about banana cream filling? Yummmm!

...or peanut butter.

My son absolutely loves cream cheese icing in his chocolate cake! I've also done the cream cheese icing with fresh raspberries for filling a choc. cake. Tastes great and looks pretty, too.
