If I put yellow fondant over a chocolate cake iced in chocolate BC will the chocolate bleed through and discolor the fondant?

It shouldn't. make sure your buttercream is only a skim coat to hold the fondant and not a thick coat.

No it wont, but obviously if it ever so slightly comes out when you smooth your cake it will show
