How Do I, Stack Cakes?

How do I stack cakes to make them looked like a stack of twisted books? when I did this last the top 2 layers drooped. I had a cake board underneath but the edges still fell. ANY HELP???

just sounds like you need a sturdier board under the cake. What did you use? Foam coar or a cake drum might work better than just a cake board. Unless you double/triple up the cake board.

I used a regular cake board. what are Foam coars or a cake drum? Maybe I should double up my cake boards???
