Where is the cheapest place to buy a sugarcraft gun? I have seen them with prices ranging from 32.00 to 59.00

I'm curious- what's a sugarcraft gun and what would you use it for?

I bought mine from Beryl's. I think it was about $32 but it has the red handle you squeeze. So much easier to use then the plunger or twist one.

has anyone tried to use the guns made for POTTERY...aka for REAL clay that gets fired in a kiln not the polymer craft clay that gets baked in an oven?

several kinds...most look like polymer clay and sugar clay guns on steroids.

they do have smaller ones that looks suspiciously similar to the sugargun from beryls.

If it's bigger it would be worth checking out. Do you have a link for one?

And may I ask, Doug, why you are just sharing the valuable information now after all the clay gun discussions?! icon_confused.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gif

These seem very interesting! Have you tried any yourself? You have now piqued my interest...

no, I haven't tried any other than the small ones for polyclay you can get at craft store....and OUCH! not a fun experience -- hurt the hands to use.

so....

looking for "more power" (snort ala Tim of Tool Time) and wondering if anyone else has tried one of the big uns

Ah, I miss Tim "The Toll Man" Taylor! icon_lol.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gif

The bigger guns come with bigger discs and bigger openings. That may be cool for some things... But what I get a kick out of is the adapter for the small, absolutely painful ones! icon_lol.gif Hmmm... Maybe if I get that I won't feel so bad handing the silver one over to my mom. icon_razz.gificon_lol.gif

I have that 8-inch long extruder. I was so excited to be able to extrude long ropes without having to refill every 2 seconds. Then, like a Twilight Zone episode, I discover the handle is too big for my little hand and I can't squeeze it. icon_cry.gif
