Help! Cracking Fondant On The Cake. 5Hrs To Delivery

I covered my cake in fondant last night and this morning when I went to finish the fondant started cracking on the cake. Its not deep cracks but its obvious. I started putting luster dust on last night but it started streaking so I stopped. Is there any way to fix the cracks?? What is the best way to put the dust on? I was using a paint brush.
Did I mention the cake is due in 5 hours!!!!

...but I think you should probably check your first post on the subject before adding another post in another forum.

Oh, and I use paint brushes (I have many purchased just for this reason) for my dusting...
