When I am cutting and serving a tiered cake I will take the top layer off cut and serve it, take the second layer off cut and serve...you get the picture. Does any one cut and serve while they are still stacked? It makes me really nervous. Just wanting some advice! Thanks!

There's nothing wrong with the way you're doing it... no reason to change a thing to cause more stress or mishaps.

I would reverse your process though. When you take off the top tier, set it aside and cut the lower tier(s) first. If there's leftover cake, it's always easier for someone to take home a smaller tier that wasn't sliced into than a half eaten huge tier.
