doing a cake for bride and they request a great tasting yellow cake with a rasberry jam type filling...in-laws are from europe so you know how great their bakery is...does anyone have a great tasting recipe. Our yellow box cakes taste so artificial. Thanks much.

Others have asked before. Most on here say silvia weinstock reicpe is delicious. It won in a cake contest on this site.I did get the recipe .It is on the internet. It is called silvia weinstock classis yellow cake. Something like that. hth

I also use Sylvia Weinstock's recipe for my yellow cake. It's delicious.

in Ms. Weintock's recipe she suggests wash flavors. is this simple syrup? if so, who has a strawberry wash recipe? thanks
