I was wondering how do you make a football helmet cake? I have looked through a lot of pics in the Gallery & I could not find anyone that tells how they made the cake, they all look really great, any help, I would greatly appreciate, Thank you so much in advance

It has been a few years since I made my football helmet cake but I used 2 9x2 rounds and a cake baked in a glass pyrex bowl on top of the rounds. There was a cardboard piece under the top dome cake, that way I could cut into the two 9 inch rounds, where the face would go. I covered the whole thing in buttercream frosting and fondant accents. The face guard was fondant hardened. That was all that I really did for mine.
