Does anyone know of any cake decorating classes in Washington State or Oregon besides JoAnns or Michaels Craft Stores or attending a local community college for baking and pastry making? I have already taken those classes and am looking to find classes for advance fondant, chocolate molding, and sugarpaste flower making. ~Thanks

I just took a chocolate tempering class from Dawn (of Dawn's Cake and Candy) and it was great. In addition to the classes that are on the monthly schedule she posts, she will do one-on-one classes with you at your convenience on certain topics. While we were cleaning up my chocolate, another woman came in to work on learning sugar flowers from one of Dawn's assistants. I have to say, I was impressed and I'm interested in going back for more!

not sure where you live, but I live in the Portland area and I get most of my cake supplies at the Decorette Shop in Tigard. They are great there and they do have classes. I have taken a few and they are great. Here is their website

I'm sure you've seen the announcements about the new Cake Central Classes. Our first class is going to be local. Join us for 4 days with fellow Washington decorator, Lucinda Larson.
