I was just wondering whats the best way to photograph my cakes? you all have lovely profile pictures that look perfect, do you use natural light or special lighting? Thank you icon_smile.gif

Personally I find it better to draw the curtains if it is daylight and then use the flash, seems to make the colours pop more.

That's just my preference, hope it helps.

i prefer natural light, but it all depends. sometimes flash, lights, or daylight make the cakle look better/ worse than it is!
have a good backdrop too, an old sheet or buy some cheap material.
make sure its in focus, find out if your camera has a macro function.
xx

I prefer natural light too between 6-7 PM (in my area).
