for $30. It's not the most powerful model, but looks like new. For that price, seemed like a good deal for extra bowl and whisk even if the motor doesn't last forever. I'm a happy shopper.

I love thrift stores. You never know what you can find. Most of the time it's only junk, but every once in a while you get a good find. Congrats on the KA! thumbs_up.gif

My sister is the queen of thrift stores.. she can find all kinds of nice stuff... when I go, I find nothing at all lol ... I guess it's the time you go and you get lucky ... you got VERY lucky!! great find and congrats on it too!!

You should be a happy shopper. That bowl sells for $50 or more and the flat beater is $17. I was lucky enough to get both at an auction sale. Some guy outbid me on the mixer and I asked if I could buy the extra bowl and beater and he asked if $5 was too much. I handed him $5 and made tracks for my car!!! Having the extra bowl and beater is a Godsend!

Cool! My best-ever deal was at a fund raiser garage sale recently. I got 35 bottles of Torani & DaVinci flavorings for $8.75 (25 cents a bottle!) - the big bottles! Now I want to go garage sale-ing every weekend!
