Ok so I just make a batch of Sarahs Red Velvet Tweaked...and they seem really dense. I have never had red velvet before and thus dont know how they should look/taste. This is for a cake thursday so now I'm trying to decide if I should start all over tomorrow night (though I'd like to avoid it as I'm a nurse and work tomorrow and the next day, thus I dont have a lot of time to get everything done

I have done the white almond sour cream recipe but instead of white cake mix I have used the red velvet box and everyone loves it. It always comes great.
My "go to" red velvet recipe is right on this site. It's called Red Velvet Redux. It's fabulous, very dense and so easy to make. I had never even had red velvet before but I had a customer request it for a wedding cake. I chose this one and now I'm hooked! Good luck! ![]()
