I'm making-trying to make- cream cheese icing for a carrot cake, followed the recipe but it is like puddinng. I have added more powder sugar but still not thick enough, if I keep adding sugar I'm going to have icing that just taste like sugar and not the creanm cheese. Any suggestion to get it to the nice fluffy frosting I want without adding 2 more lbs of sugar? Any advice would be appreciated. I hate to throw it away but I maight just have to start all over.
Please post your recipe so we can see what may have been left out or gone wrong.
sorry, had to go to store to buy more cream cheese.- recipe is 8 oz cream cheese, 2 tblsp milk, 1 tsp vanilla, 1/8 tsp salt, 16 oz powder suger, beat cream cheese and milk to smooth, add vanilla, salt and sugar, blend togather,
thats it, i did that, it did not work. Maybe I beat it to much?
