How did she do this? Is the whole cake covered in white fondant and the stripes are on top of the white fondant? or is just the top covered in white fondant and the stripes are on the buttercream up to the white fondant?

Looks to me like the whole cake is covered in white fondant, purple stripes on top of fondant and then a "rope" covering their meeting.

I agree with CWIL. Yu just have t meaure all the stripes perfectly and use a cutter for perfectly parallel edges. Very Planet Cake icon_smile.gif.
