I put fondant on three cakes last night. It was hot in my house so I put allthe cakes in the frig. This the cakes were very cold, so I took them out and put them on the table. When I went back into the kitchen I noticed that the fondant was wet and sticky. I had to go to work so I just left them there. Will they be all right?

Once they come to room temperature they're suppose to be. This is one reason I NEVER refrigerate a cake.

Yes, but if you shaped the fondant (i.e. I curled up the sides of a lily pad) you won't be able to recover that shape because it will stick to everything else. But yes, the shiny, sticky look and feel goes away.
