Anyone out there have any ideas for a unicorn cake? My granddaughter has decided that will be the theme of her birthday this year. So far I'm not coming up with anything. I've thought of using Wilton's lamb cake to get a start but I don't think that's what I want.

Thanks in advance!

Does the cake need to be in a unicorn shape? Maybe a loaf pan like MichaelTV suggested, but use it for the body and RKT for the neck/head (with dowel supports)?
If not, maybe the cake can be the backdrop such as a field, mountain, or castle with a gumpaste unicorn or two somewhere prominently displayed on it? Another source for ideas would be to look at children's picture books with unicorns on them and use the pictures as patterns for cut-outs or plaques.

Thanks everyone for the ideas. More than likely I'm going to have to find that lamb cake pan and work off that. Still trying to work it out in my head right now.

You can also do it with the duck pan... this was one of my first cakes, so it's not so great, but you get the idea!

I never even considered the duck pan. I may have that pan stashed away. I'll have to look. Thanks so much for the idea!
