I've noticed that on a cake that I just decorated, and a couple of cakes in the past, that my buttercream is starting to crack. This is after I am finished decorating and it has been sitting for a little while. What can I do to prevent that from happening?

I just had the same problem this weekend. I'm not sure if it was the humidity or what, but it's upsetting ![]()

I agree! My icing was smooth and looked fine until that started happening.
