I am a newby to baking. I made one of my son's birthday cake using pound cake recipe. It was very moist. Ingredients were cake flour, crisco butter flavor shortening, butter, 6 eggs, baking powder, salt, and vanilla and butter flavoring. It was really good.

I use kakeladi's original WASC recipe. I've tried some of the others but hers is the best. I never use almond flavoring HATE the stuff. I just double up on the vanilla. Makes a very good cake.
