I believe it depends on where you work. Different stores employ their Wilton instructors differently.
AWould anyone happen to know the ages required for the job? Could someone under 18 be an instructor?? Thanks
My contract read over 18 so I suggest you check with the company first. Anyhow, I started and did really well but like most of the reviews I read on here it wasnt worth it. The manager at the store wasnt coperative at all. Kept shifting and changing my time plus they dont give room to advertise. My sign was always tucked in a little corner with the disabled carts and I could never get it noticed. I threw in the towel. Too much time and effort...doesnt fit the reward. I started my own classes and I'm doing great with that
I just had a call from Wilton today (regarding working in a Michael's store), so I'm reading a lot of the old forum posts here. Something that stood out for me was the 'Registration Fee'... that makes me nervous. Is it a lot? Have things changed a lot since this forum post was started? Do I become trained online?
If you are going to be a Wilton instructor, you have to go where they tell you. I know, I have asked them in a message. Get on their site and read what they say about being an instructor.
