Thanks to everyone who helped me out, while making the hand. And to those who bared with me during the MMF fiasco.
The tye-dye didnt work, but I will try it again sometime soon. I ended up doing three solid tiers and the MMF wrinkled on me. but I promised a pic and here it is. Niece loved it, but it was disappointing to not be able to produce the tye-dye effect.

oh yah.. niece got to doc the hand. I will soon have pics, I'll send you one so you can see it giving the california wave. It was so funny.
It's a great and colorful cake and I love the hand. You should do a picture tutorial of how you did it.

the cake board is outrageously priced wrapping paper from hobby lobby. But I couldnt pass it up it matched too perfectly.

I was there when you were making the hand, and I SO felt your pain! But as a child of the 60's (FLOWER POWER, y'all!!!), I just love the results!
