My neighbor that is a single Mom with 4 girls, is graduating nursing school in August and I want to make her a scrub top cake, she will be a ped's nurse YEAH for her. (dirt bag hubby left her for a younger model.)
Are these done from a t-shirt pan or are they carved? I see lots on here.
I am a newbie and would have no idea how to carve.
Maybe Doug could do a template??? I see he is very talented... icon_smile.gif

I used a 1/2 sheet pan and carved mine. It's really simple. All you have to do is round the corners and cut out the sides. I didn't use a template...only a picture. HTH! I'm a nurse myself and tell her I said CONGRATS!!! icon_biggrin.gifthumbs_up.gifthumbs_up.gifthumbs_up.gif

I use the t-shirt pan, couldn't be simpler. But carving as Christy0722 mentioned shouldn't be too tough, either. A pretty easy shape to start your carving skills on. One tip is to use a child's t-shirt as a template. Good luck, and happy caking!

Forgot to say if you freeze your cake first, it makes carving much easier and less crumbly. HTH
